TRASH COLLECTION

  • Trash pick up is on Wednesday in Red Hill Borough.


  • Please put your trash out Tues. evening for pick-up on Wed. starting at 7 a.m.


  • If a holiday occurs on Wednesday, trash will be picked up on Thursday.


  • Red Hill Borough charges a yearly per unit fee of $100.00


  • Trash bills are printed on the property tax bills that are mailed out in the beginning of March. (You will not receive a separate invoice for trash.) Fee is due when you pay your taxes.


  • You must use Red Hill trash bags or your trash will not be collected.


  • Bags cost $1.00 each
  • HOW TO USE RED HILL TRASH BAGS

  • Put trash directly into bag
  • Line trash can with bag
  • Lay a bag on top of trash before putting lid on can
  • DO NOT tie bag to trash can or trash will NOT be collected.
  • Bags are to weigh no more than 45 lbs or they will not be picked up
  • Four trash bags per unit are permitted each week plus one bulk item
  • RED HILL TRASH BAGS CAN BE PURCHASED AT

    BULK ITEMS

    You may attach a Red Hill trash bag to one bulk item per week. The following items will not be picked up large appliances, tires, washers, auto batteries or items with Freon. To inquire about removal of these items call J. P. Mascaro & Sons 1-800-334-3403.

    RED HILL RECYCLE CENTER

    The borough of Red Hill Recycle Center is open to the public 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The Recycle center is located next to the Red Hill Borough Hall at West Fourth Street and Graber Alley. Enter from Graber Alley.

    The first 2010 Montgomery County Household Hazardous Waste & Computer Collection dates will be posted as soon as they become available. www.montgomerycountyrecycles.org

    CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION

    The Borough maintains an area adjacent to the Borough Maintenance Building where Christmas trees can be dumped during certain days in January. These dates will be posted in December on the borough home page under events and notices. Other dumping will be subject to $1,000.00 fine.

    LEAF COLLECTION

    Each year, usually starting in October, the borough allows residents to dump their leaves in the leaf pile adjacent to the Borough Maintenance Building. These dates will be posted in September on the borough home page under events and notices. Other dumping will be subject to $1,000.00 fine.
