TRASH & RECYCLING
Trash & recycling is picked up weekly on Thursday.
All carts should be placed in the street or alley with handles facing away from the roadway.
When possible, allow four feet between carts and
keep away from cars, trees and mailboxes.
Placing your trash & recycling out the
NIGHT BEFORE pick up is recommended.
Waste Management begins pickup at 7:00 AM!

If you have any issues with your trash service or pickup, please call the borough at 215-679-2040. DO NOT contact Waste Management directly.

RECYCLING
All residents are provided a yellow lid mixed recycling cart for recycling.

Empty your acceptable recyclables directly into the cart, do not bag.

Flatten or break down cardboard boxes before placing in the cart. Excess cardboard may be flattened and bundled and left near the cart.

Containers must be free of food and liquids.

Acceptable Items:
Plastic bottles & containers, glass bottles & containers, food & beverage cans, paper, flattened cardboard & paperboard
Non-Acceptable Items:
Food or liquids, loose plastic bags or film, foam cups & containers, yard waste, clothing, furniture or carpet, hazardous waste or batteries
WASTE
All residents will use the provided green lid cart for trash.

Please bag all waste before placing in your cart.

Extra bags are permitted, but they must be a single tied bag.

No trash should be placed in any box and left to be picked up.
Acceptable Items:
All ordinary household trash and garbage and non-recycled materials
Non-Acceptable Items:
Tires, TVs, electronic devices, bulk items or hazardous waste
BULK ITEMS
One bulk item is permitted each week.

Please contact the Borough office no later than 48 hours prior to collection date to schedule your bulk item pickup.

Mattress or box springs must be wrapped or bagged in plastic or they will not be picked up.

Carpet rolls should be bundled and tied and no longer than 4ft in length.

If you are putting out an air conditioner or dehumidifier, Freon must be removed by a Certified Technician and a tag placed on the unit or it will not be picked up.

Household appliances, electronics and household hazardous waste are NOT accepted.

BRANCH PICK UP
Branch chipping is done twice a year in May and September. More information and instructions regarding trimmings will be provided closer to branch pickup.

LEAF DROP OFF
Leaf drop off takes place once a year in September for Red Hill Residents Only. More information including dates will be provided closer to leaf drop off.

STREET SWEEPING
Street sweeping is done twice a year in May and September. More information and instructions regarding moving vehicles will be provided closer to street sweeping.
