Effective December 31, 2016:

  • Recycling center closure

  • Yellow Red Hill Borough trash bags no longer required

  • Waste Management replacing J.P. Mascaro as Borough's hauler

Other Changes:

  • Waste Management will deliver each resident two, 64 gallon containers on Friday, December 30th and Saturday, December 31st (yellow lid, recycling; green lid, trash)

  • Recycling to be curbside, commingled (meaning, no more separating recyclable materials.  Simply throw all materials into your new yellow lid container)

  • Expanded accepted recyclable materials (list to be mailed to each resident in the near future)

  • Bulk items no longer require yellow bags/tags (just place item out with trash [one a week])

  • Collection day to be moved to Thursday, each week

    • Trash and recycling on same day, separate times

  • First Waste Management collection day is Thursday, January 5th

Staying the Same:

  • On collection day, put your new cans where you currently put your trash (in the alley, on the curb, etc.)

  • Leaf/yard waste should continue to be treated the same - the Borough will maintain the leaf collection bin (seasonally)

  • Christmas Tree collection will continue being provided by the Borough, as in past years

Leaf & Christmas Tree Collection

The Borough maintains a collection site for leaves next to the Red Hill Maintenance building. Loose leaves (NO BAGS) may be dropped off between October 15 and November 30. No shrubs, trees, branches or grass clippings will be accepted. Any other dumping will be subject to a $1,000 fine.

The Borough maintains an area adjacent to the Borough Maintenance Building where Christmas trees can be dumped during certain days in January. These dates will be posted in December on the Borough home page. Other dumping will be subject to $1,000.00 fine.
